Prevent Gas Siphoning



Gas prices continue to rise which creates the possibility of gas being stolen from your cars tank. Think about these fews steps to reduce your risk

  • Invest in a lockable gas cap. These can be purchased at most auto parts stores for around $10. They come with a key lock that prevents removal to siphon gas from your tank.

  • If you do not have a lockable cap, park as close to your home as possible. The farther thieves are from detection, the more comfortable they are.

  • If you are going to leave your car unattended for a long period of time; park in a well lit area. Make sure the area is lit all night.
